| Star Kingdoms
is a war game. You can survive without attacking others, but
you will probably never do good at SK if you don't. Below
are descriptions of the different military units. Some of
them can only be used for offense, some of them only for defending
your kingdom, and a few for both purposes.
Soldiers are drafted from your population (you can draft a
maximum of 10% of your civilians every day into soldiers),
and from the soldiers, you can train more advanced military
units - Troopers, Dragoons, Laser Troopers, Laser Dragoons
and Tanks. Tactical Fighters do not need any soldiers in order
to be trained.
For most planet types, some of the military units have to
be researched before they can be trained.

* = This military unit
usually has to be researched before you can use it.
For every % of your land used for training
camps, to a maximum of 10% of your land, military will be
3% cheaper, so a person with 10% training camps will be able
to train a tank for 1225 money.
A kingdom's defense land is calculated with
((1x Soldiers + 4x Laser Troopers + 5x Laser Dragoons +9x
Tanks) / your amount of land) * bonuses. The
minimum defense for a kingdom is always 2x his amount of land
defense points, and you don't get any bonuses to land defense,
which means that a 500 land kingdom with 100 soldiers for
defense will have 500 * 2 = 1,000 defense points worth of
defense.
If the military defense is higher than the land defense (which
it is in most cases), you don't need to include the land defense
in your calculations.
• Tactical Fighters can only be used
and constructed as long as you have air support bays. Every
air support bay holds 35 Tactical Fighters, and that number
is not increased by any bonuses or researches. So a person
with 1,000 air bays can have a maximum of 35,000 Tactical
Fighters sent out as most, even if he has more than that which
are unsupported. If he gets attacked, it is only checked how
many TF's which are in and supported, not how many of the
supported ones which are already out.
•You have four different war leaders
(WL's) to use when attacking. For each one extra you use,
after the first one, you get a 3% bonus to offense. Your army
will also return much faster if you use many war leaders.
For example, if you send 10k tanks with one WL to attack someone
which is 16 hours away, your 10k tanks will all return after
16 hours. With two WL´s used, 6k tanks will return after
8 hours, and the other 6k after 16 hours. With three WL´s,
the return times will be 5-10-16, and with four war leaders
4-8-12-16.
DPA Calculator
Do you think your kingdom has enough defense/land? Or do you
want to find out which one of several different targets which
you gain the most land for the least losses when attacking?
Enter the different stats in the calculator below, and you
will get a DPA value. This value can be compared to the DPA
value of friends, or other people which you've taken stats
of (for example targets). If you don't understand how to use
it, just click on "Help".
