| Net Worth
(NW)
When looking for possible targets, most people compare a kingdom's
net worth with their amount of land. Someone with 3,000 land
and 500,000 Net Worth is most likely a far better target than
someone with 3,000 land and 900,000 Net Worth, since most
of the net worth is made up by a kingdom's army. A recommended
nw/land ratio is about 100 during the first days, 150 after
a week, 200 after two weeks, and at least 250 after a month
of playing. However, there is nothing wrong with having a
lower ratio if you are just able to defend your land.
The values below are used to calculate a
kingdom's Net Worth. For buildings, also include the ones
which are in construction. For everything else, only multiply
with what you already have:

Research
It is good to have at least as many scientists as you have
land most of the time after you’ve got more than 1,000
land, since most of the researches are based on your amount
of land, and it gets harder to keep them up, the more land
you gain. Here is the formula used to calculate how many research
points that you need to get max. in all the land-based researches:
(If you have 1,000 land, you will need 1,000x1,000x0.01=10,000
research points for full population bonus, for example.)
ResearchPtsForMax = Land * Land * ResearchFieldFactor
ResearchFieldFactor =
Population Bonus (max 20%): 0.0094 - increases
amount of civilians which can live in each residence.
Power Bonus (max 50%): 0.0063 - increases
power production by powerplants.
Reactor Warp Core Efficiency (max 20%, needs
Energy Core to become available in the research room): 0.0121
- reduces the attack time by up to 20%.
Military Bonus (max 30%): 0.0061 - bonus
to offense and defense
Money Bonus (max 25%): 0.011 - bonus to income
from mines and taxes
Frequency Decryption Center (max 25%): 0.017
- gives you FDC% probability to make it possible for you to
see who probed your kingdom, also for successful probings.
Notice that Terra Form can have 10% higher
values in all the land based researches than the other planet
types (for example 40% military research instead of 30%).
Some planet types also get bonuses or penalties
to their research needed. If your kingdom is built on an Oceanic
planet, multiply the ResearchPtsForMax with 1,2 to get the
real research points needed for max.
There are also several researches which are not land based.
Those let you train or build other, more powerful things and
units, like Tactical Fighters, when you have a specific amount
of research points researched in them:
Dragoons (60,000 points) - makes it possible
for you to train Dragoons, powerful offensive military units.
Laser Dragoons (72,000 points) - makes it
possible for you to train Laser Dragoons, powerful defensive
military units.
Fighters (150,000 points + Dragoons and Laser
Dragoons both researched first) - this research enables you
to train fighters, an upgraded version of dragoons which is
used for offense only.
Longevity (100,000 points + Vesudian Core
and AI Technology research finished) - increases the civilian
birth rate to 4x what it uses to be. Residences can also house
55 civilians instead of 50.
Fusion Technology (30,000 points) - makes it possible
for you to construct Fusion powerplants on your land. Also
makes it possible to construct Fusion missiles and start researching
energy core.
S.C.O.U.T.E.R (15,000 points) - gives you
the attack time for all kingdoms, in the list in the attack
room, and on other locations (for example the sectorlist).
Vesudian Core and AI Technology (500,000
points + Fighter research finished) - makes it possible to
build Air support bays and construct AI controlled Tactical
Fighters.
Energy Core (50,000 points + Fusion Technology
finished) - makes it possible to construct energy missiles,
increases power production by nuclear and fusion powerplants
by 20%, makes Reactor Warp Core Efficiency Research available,
and decreases attack time by 10%.
Probe Armour (92,000 points) - all probe
losses are reduced by 50%.
Don't bother about starting on any of the non-landbased researches
in the first week. You will do almost as fine without them
by then, so it's better to build up a strong kingdom and get
a couple of thousand scientists first. Then you can research
them a lot easier, and unlike the people who started on researching
those from the beginning, you won't have ended up behind everyone
else in kingdom growth or military force.
A good order to research those in is: Fusion technology -
Energy Core - Probe Armour - Laser Dragoons - Dragoons - Scouter
- AI technology - Longevity.
You won't need to hurry to get the researches done, since
they only give slight advantages to a kingdom anyway. Also
don't try to research them all at once. Finishing one research,
then spending all your scientists on trying to improve your
land-based bonuses for a day, and after that putting all scientists
on another one of the researches works better.
If you want to know how much research you
need for max in the land-based researches, just enter your
amount of land in the text field below, check if your kingdom
is Oceanic, and press calculate.
